A hex on technology.

I spent about three hours tonight attempting to fix the brakes of my bike -- two and a half hours figuring-out what the problem was. It seems that I have to remove the calipers, open-up the brake-spring assemblies and then clean and oil them. Unfortunately, my hex-tool wasn't up to the challenge; it rounded-off as a result of my trying to force open the rusty screws holding the calipers to the bike-frame. One brake is fixed, but there are three more to futz with once I get a new hex-tool.

Dove should be over soon, fresh from a girl's night out to a belly-dancing performance. In the meanwhile, I'm listening to an REM concert and going over an article by Emberley on George Grant, the will-to-knowledge, and the reduction of humans to the technological tools of society and government.
