So much for that.

Well lovely. Apparently my submission to the Voegelin panel of American Political Science Association's annual meeting was rejected; it's quite annoying that finding out required hunting for an answer on their website after waiting for months. A formal letter or e-mail might have been nice; it would have made it easier to plan to submit to other conferences quite a bit earlier.

I'm feeling rather peeved about this, and more than passingly disappointed; it does not bode well for publication prospects, given that the panel organizer is the general editor of Voegelin's collected works. On the brighter side, I've at least finished Kenneth Waltz's Man, the State, and War, and an abridged version of Thucydides' history of the Peloponnesian War.

Going to meditate, and to keep buggering on with the whole thing. No point in playing the monkey: the one who, with a banana in-hand, nevertheless pines for the one in the tree.
