Shinai

I haven't been able to study kendo since the time of my accident; according to the sempai it could be quite impossible to ever study the art properly following the breaking of an ankle. That, however, did not prevent me from employing my shinai in meditative exercise. A flick of the wrist and a step into the target; a shifting of weight from good foot to bad and a guiding right-hand; let the mass of the blade perform its work, and cleave the target from temple to navel. Repeat until the blade can no longer be lifted; you are ended.
