Iran to trade petroDollars for petroEuros?

It's occasionally been said by economists that their jobs would be a heck of a lot easier if human beings would start acting rationally instead of being so gosh-darn political all of the time (an opinion that's also become common among North American political scientists over the last forty years). Right now, its not unlikely that half the tenured professors at the London School of Economics are pulling their hair out; Iran, in an obnoxious act of politics, is threatening to dump the American dollar in favour of the Euro as the currency of choice for their oil trade. It's economically irrational, it's a financial headache, and its a decision ultimately rooted in some... very questionable, and perhaps vaguely insane foreign policy decisions made by the Iranian government.

That said, it's being done anyways. Whatareyeagonnado. shrug
