Scratch that.

The new Cat's Corner is looking very nice, though it is still damn hot. Hopefully the new air-conditioning unit will take care of that problem, or else a couple of strong fans will be used to push the hot-air and moisture out the windows, rather than simply stirring it about the room. Ah yes, the new place has windows by the way!

I've an article to finish for publication tomorrow. I'm already late, but I've been fussing over my closing paragraphs; I haven't quite managed to tie the end to the beginning in a satisfactory way. I spent most of the evening with J.S. and her boyfriend L. though, chatting about the Last Days of Socrates, the myths of the golem, graduate schools, and the joys of both being a teaching-assistant at a university and being graded by T.As in turn.

'Should be going to visit the Garneau campaign headquarters on Tuesday, and to a seminar later that evening.

Hi Tasha,

I think that you'll like the new place alot; they've windows facing down onto St-Laurent in the front, and another set in the back, along with stamped-metal paneling on the ceiling which covers the floorboards. It all serves to give the new studio a much classier and more open look. Also: three completely separate rooms, the smallest of which -- located just to the left of the door, is being used as the cloakroom. The main rooms are joined by a very short hallway which nevertheless allows the two to be used for separate purposes simultaneously.

The only caveat: a single, unisex bathroom -- unless there is another tucked away in the back where I couldn't see it.
