I'm very sorry. I met your mother on Live Journal and I considered her a very good friend.

On Diane's LJ
I wanted to let you know (in case no one else had) that you can switch her LJ account to a "memorial" status through the livejournal staff. The information to do so is below:

At the request of the user's family, we can either suspend the journal, lock it to new comments, or set the journal to "memorial" status (which disables future entries by the account, but allows comments on existing entries). This status also prevents the journal from being deleted for inactivity in the future.

These requests can only be made by a family member. You may wish to
ask a family member to have them contact us at webmaster@livejournal.com regarding their wishes for the journal's status.

Re: On Diane's LJ
(disregard the "You may wish to ask a family member" sentence - that was leftover from my support request asking about the memorial status stuff)

On a personal note, I'm sorry for your loss. Your mother became a close friend of mine through the world of livejournal, and I know how amazing a person she was. I'm going to try to make it to her funeral services, but if I cannot make it, know that my heart and thoughts are with you and your family
