Some signs have appeared of a conflict between Iran's Parliament and its executive branch; the state's legislators have apparently invited two United Nations International Atomic Energy Association inspectors to perform their duties at the country's nuclear facilities.

Oddly enough, the alleged invitation apparently had the approval of the Council of Guardians. Perhaps just as oddly, the Parliamentary invitation seems to have coincidentally been timed to coincide with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's scheduled departure from the country on a foreign-affairs tour of South America. Last but not least, an added bit of mystery is added by the fact that this potentially embarrassing story has been leaked by the Islamic Republic News Agency, which begs the question: exactly whom is this ostensibly executive-controlled news-outlet working for, and what in the world is actually going on?
